Der Holy Grail Shiraz stammt aus einer Einzellage des Weinguts in der Unterregion Seppeltsfield im Barossa Valley. Sein Name ist inspiriert von dem Monty-Python-Film und der permanenten Suche nach dem perfekten Weinberg.

Sehr attraktives Bouquet nach glasierten Pflaumen, Teer, Menthol, Muskatnuss, Rinderbrühe, verbrannter Erde, unterlegt mit Vanille und geröstetem Brot.

Am Gaumen ausladende Textur schon beim ersten Schlückchen, dann fühlt er sich an wie ein Flugzeug beim Start, während die Früchte die Zunge entlang hüpfen. Ausgeglichenheit und Ausdauer sind das Gebot der Stunde, erstaunliche Reinheit und Kraft, und dennoch bleibt er irgendwie erstaunlich leichtfüßig. Kräftige Tannine runden diesen bemerkenswerten Wein ab, sie sind so fruchtbetont mit einer schönen Wendung am späten Gaumen, die Ihnen einen schönen salzigen und trocknenden Geschmack verleiht. Er steckt noch in den Kinderschuhen und hat noch viel mehr im Tank gespeichert. Mutig genug, um langfristig zu reifen, Grand Vin und eine ach so lustige Fahrt!"

"The fruit for the 2020 Holy Grail Seppeltsfield Road Seppeltsfield Shiraz is, of course, from the Seppeltsfield Road Vineyard in the Barossa Valley. It is decidedly red fruited, with raspberry, pomegranate molasses, pink peppercorns, damsons and blood plums. The tannins are smashed into the fruit; they're fine and chalky but certainly present, and they serve to cup the fruit, rather than obstruct it. It's a very pretty wine, which is a surprise given the packaging (weight when full over two kilograms) and fruit-sourcing area. Nicely done." - Wine Advocate

“Deep crimson. Intense blackberry, hint stonefruit, aromas with graphite, roasted almond notes. Slinky textured wine with beautiful pure blackberry, plum, apricot flavours, fine looseknit graphite/ gravelly tannins, superb suppleness and integrated mocha, cacao notes. A persistent inky/ minerally finish. Lovely elegance and fine boned structure. Should develop more density and complexity with age. Keep for a while. Drink now – 2032 14.4% alc 94 points” AC

"My, my, my, the 2021 Holy Grail Seppeltsfield Road Seppeltsfield Shiraz is a big wine. Nothing else is expected of course, but still, it is significant in stature. It has black everything: cherries, berries, resin, tar, tobacco, earth, rocks, tea, roast beef crust and chocolate. It's an intense wine. 14.3% alcohol, sealed under Diam." - Wine Advocate
