"A slightly more expensive offering, the 2009 Celler Cal Pla Porrera is a blend of 50% Grenache (from 100+-year-old parcels), 45% Carignan and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, all aged 14 months in new French oak. An amazing offering, it boasts an inky/opaque blue/purple color as well as aromas and flavors of raspberry jam, sweet blueberries, cassis, crushed rocks, graphite and spring flowers. Stunning richness and intensity along with a terrific mouthfeel and a full-bodied finish characterize this brilliant, if not prodigious Priorat. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.
